Golf European PGA Tour began in Asia, and last week arrived in Europe - starting on Madeira Island, and onto to mainland Portugal this week

The Madeira Open was held last week, Argentinian Daniel Vancsik won the event and prize money of €116660.

Gary Murphy was best Irishman , finishing on level Par, in joint 18th position, David Higgins finished on +3, receiving €3920 and €2450 respectively.
Peter Lawrie had missed the half way cut.
