New Irish feature film ‘Once’, directed by John Carney (Bachelors Walk, On the Edge) has won the World Cinema Audience Award in the dramatic category at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.
‘Once’ stars Glen Hansard of The Frames (who also starred in The Commitments) and actress Marketa Irglova. Described as a modern-day musical, the film is set on the streets of Dublin and tells the story of a busker and an immigrant, who fall in love over an eventful week, as they write, rehearse and record a number of songs.
